How It Works

You’ll get a weekly pre-packed box containing a mix of the best Certified Organic vegetables, fruits and herbs we grow. Our CSA is chance to expand your culinary horizons and feed yourself, your family, or your chosen family the finest vegetables, grown right here.

Pick-up Wednesdays in West Seattle, Capitol Hill, downtown Bellingham, Unity Care NW (employees only), Fairhaven, or on-farm in Everson (for a 5% discount!). We’d love to add more pick-up sites with at least ten members – including workplaces.

  • TWO SHARE SIZES
    • Full Share: Our best value! Contains between 9-12 different Certified Organic vegetables, fruits, or herbs grown here on the farm. Great for vegetable-loving pairs or 2-4 folks who eat moderate amounts of produce.
    • Petite Share: Our smaller CSA option. Great for vegetable-loving individuals or small households that dine out occasionally. This box includes 6-8 Certified Organic vegetables, fruits or herbs per week.
  • ONLINE FARM STORE: During the season you can add items to your share on week-by-week basis (bulk tomatoes for canning, potatoes for your pantry, flowers, as well as add-ons from trusted neighboring producers like in season fruit and flowers).
  • UNLIMITED VACATION DAYS. Won’t be around for a pickup? Schedule a vacation day to skip your share that week in exchange for credit you can use on our store during the season (a few days notice needed for farm planning). You can also have a friend or neighbor pick up and enjoy your week’s veggies.
  • WEEKLY NEWSLETTER: We’ll let you know what is in your share each week, along with suggested recipes. We love sharing the peaks and valleys of the farming season with our members.
  • PAYMENT METHODS: You can pay the full cost of CSA upfront or in two/three installments. Paper checks and e-checks (ACH transfer) are preferred to avoid costly credit card fees, but we also accept credit cards.
    • Food access donations – Season after season, we’ve seen how our community has generously supported one another to provide CSA access to their neighbors. This year, upon checkout, members can opt to sponsor a share for one week or more (not tax deductible), and which Spring Time Farm will 100% match to double your gift’s impact.
    • Sliding scale – Would a reduced cost CSA make life easier? Please reach out to us (info@springtimefarm.com) and we’ll do our best to pair the funding available with your situation.
    • SNAP/EBT – We are hoping to accept EBT for payment. It will take weeks to become compliant. Check back!

The quality of all the produce was incredible – it’s actually shocking how much more flavorful your produce is than even a high end grocery store.

I love that I get beautiful quality vegetables that I need and a couple things to try . It expands my family’s horizon. This year was especially tasty- my kids would find the carrots ASAP and make them disappear. They are convinced they could never like any other kind of carrot. I’m so thankful that we can have local food – the garlic is my favorite. Thank you!!

What are the origins of the CSA?

CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” For our Certified Organic farm, it means a person can sign up to receive a weekly pre-packed box of our highest quality, farmer’s choice vegetables for an interval of time.

CSAs are an incredible way for community members to support their farmers – payment up front gives us financial security and flexibility, empowering our local food systems – and provides a window into what we at Spring Time Farm are doing. In return, we will provide you with the very best that we are growing!

We are so inspired by this model. Dr. Booker T. Whatley developed the concept of a “clientele membership club” in the 1960s, laying the framework for the contemporary American CSA. Dr. Whatley, born in 1915 in Alabama, was an innovative Black farmer, businessman, and passionate advocate for small farms. We owe Dr. Whatley a debt of gratitude for his enormously important work in regenerative agriculture, social justice, and beyond.
