We are offering a six week vegetable CSA starting Wednesday, April 22, 2020 for the immediate Bellingham and Everson area (feel free to contact us if you are outside this area and are interested). If you are interested, please first fill out the form below and then click the link to purchase your share. For details about our CSA, scroll to the bottom of this page. Thank you.
In response to the importance of social distancing for collective health, Spring Time Farm is thrilled to offer a Bellingham area CSA option for 2020. Our plants did not get the cancellation memo and are growing as happily as ever. We want to feed you safely!
Our early season CSA is a 6 week program consisting of a weekly pre-packed box with a diversity of produce for $240. You can choose between a home delivery (contactless, on your stoop or porch) or if demand allows a neighborhood drop point. Delivery day will be Wednesdays each week from April 22 – May 27.
What is in a box? 7-10 items per week. End of April might include: head of Little Gem romaine lettuce; a bunch of easter egg radishes and pea shoots; bagged mesclun mix, baby kale, bok choi, and rhubarb. End of May might include: a bunch of carrots, icicle radishes, rainbow chard, beets, and green garlic; sunflower shoots, kohlrabi and spinach, and a head of butter lettuce. If we’re lucky, a pint of strawberries.
IS A CSA RIGHT FOR ME? Yes, if:
- You want to show solidarity with and support your farmers! CSAs provide up-front income to help us at Spring Time Farm ride the highs (and lows) of each season. Since food access is a bit of a question mark this year, a CSA will provide you with fresh, healthy produce straight from the farm to you.
- You are comfortable with, excited about, and committed to seasonal eating! We will provide suggestions for how to use your veggies, but do not offer any substitutions within shares. If there is something you don’t like, either challenge yourself to “learn-to-love” or gift it.
